Tarot Experience | Encyclopedia II | Review

Italian publisher Lo Scarabeo started its Tarot Encyclopedia adventure in 2015. With the help of crowdfunding and several renowned tarot authors three books were in the making. Tarot Fundamentals reached the shelves in Q1 of 2016, covered in the High Priestess of Erik C Dunne’s Tarot illuminati. Book 2, the red Tarot Experience, got delivered on my doorstep at the brink of 2017. So, what can you expect from this, yet again, huge hardcover? The set-up & look/feel of the second book in the Lo Scarabeo sequence is in many ways the same, so to get an idea about appearance, quality and authors I advice you to read the Tarot Fundamentals review first. Next step Tarot Experience goes further where Fundamentals stopped. The blue book focused a lot on every simple card and was ideal for beginners. It also gave intermediate readers a possibility to freshen up their knowledge or to gain a new perspective on the tarot card meanings. Tarot Experience is really about…well: ‘the experience’ with the cards. To connect on a deeper level and to start working with those cards in a more advanced way. It is indeed an ideal step up for intermediate readers who haven’t…

When the Tarosophy Tarot Association opened a sister Psychic Development group to their 24k members counting tarot FB page it was no surprise the Psychic group saw thousands of people clicking ‘become a member’ fast. Many tarot readers see themselves as psychic or at least think that our intuition comes into play when reading the cards. Nina Ashby, author of Develop your ESP. A quick and easy way to become psychic uses exactly that last thought to ease us into her guide to ‘paranormal powe…

Looking for the ideal December present? Pretty sure that if you’re into divination there will be plenty to pick from here on the The Queen’s Sword. Going through all that material however might result in not having packages in time for the festivities. So…I made it simple with this Holiday special: tarot & oracle tips. Here are several lists, ranging from easy to grab mass market Tarot de Marseille’s to interesting Oracle releases and harder to find antique decks. My divination favorites for your gift and wish lists! Easy to grab Marseille and Marseille inspired decks As said earlier in The Queen’s TdM month: there aren’t many Marseille decks and books out there (although, honestly, once you dive into the material there are more than you could ever imagine…and want). Most of them are self-published too…anyone not living in the US knows that the shipping costs, taxes and handling will ruin your gift-budget in one go. But you don’t have to miss out on TdM’s, no siree! If you have a sweet spot for Marseille (inspired) decks, yours truly will show you the way ;-). Easy to obtain through the well-known and trustworthy webshops. Le Tarot Noir A bit quirky, a…

Tarot for One. The art of reading for yourself | Review
Books , Review , Tarot / 4 December 2016

For years it was obvious which book to read if you wanted the ins and outs on reading tarot for yourself. Mary K Greer’s very similary titled workbook was the answer. Despite the fact the question “Am I allowed to read tarot fo myself” is still a huge one, Greer set a standard. And a difficult example to follow. Until now perhaps. With “Tarot for One. The art of reading for yourself”…
