The Card Geek’s Kipper | Deck Review
Decks , Kipper , Review , Theme: Kipper / 13 February 2018

Imagine you love a certain card system and basically having only just one or two decks to read with. Now, there are hundreds if not thousands of cartomancers doing that on purpose – but if you were one of them you would not be on a review site ;-). Anyway, if you are a Kipper reader that was your reality for over a hundred years (if you started eh…young). Original Kipper was THE deck and while some designers added new material in recent history, taste and usefulness made sure most Kipper lovers forcibly stayed with their Original Wahrsagekarten. The Card Geek’s Kipper Cards deck might just’ve changed history.

The Card Geek’s Kipper Guide and Kipper deck: Pre-order+preview
Decks , Kipper , News / 9 October 2017

If you follow me on Eureka Readings (less active than this one, but linked to my practice) or are a friend you know I fell in love with Kipper about 2 years ago and have been certified in the traditional way of reading this 36-card system. But….good decks are seriously lacking. Especially ones that take into account which techniques are used in the Bavarian way of reading (where it originated). Not anymore! Toni Puhle just released her Kipper guide WITH accompanying deck to the world…for pre-order that is. The Card Geek’s Kipper deck and The Card Geek’s Guide to Kipper, both to be released on December 1st (so soon!). I was so excited, I used whatever info I could get from the newsletter, so forgive me for less quality pics and such. Later I will be able to add the good stuff…  Here you can see the first high quality pictures of cover and a few important cards from the deck. The Kipper goodies The book is a 200 page counting Kipper How To Guide. It starts with card meanings and moves on to how to get the most out of a Kipper read. Beginners and advanced readers can use…

Books , Decks , Oracle , Recommendation , Tarot , Tarot de Marseille / 11 December 2016

Looking for the ideal December present? Pretty sure that if you’re into divination there will be plenty to pick from here on the The Queen’s Sword. Going through all that material however might result in not having packages in time for the festivities. So…I made it simple with this Holiday special: tarot & oracle tips. Here are several lists, ranging from easy to grab mass market Tarot de Marseille’s to interesting Oracle releases and harder to find antique decks. My divination favorites for your gift and wish lists! Easy to grab Marseille and Marseille inspired decks As said earlier in The Queen’s TdM month: there aren’t many Marseille decks and books out there (although, honestly, once you dive into the material there are more than you could ever imagine…and want). Most of them are self-published too…anyone not living in the US knows that the shipping costs, taxes and handling will ruin your gift-budget in one go. But you don’t have to miss out on TdM’s, no siree! If you have a sweet spot for Marseille (inspired) decks, yours truly will show you the way ;-). Easy to obtain through the well-known and trustworthy webshops. Le Tarot Noir A bit quirky, a…

Kipper: fin de siècle oracle | Deck Review
Decks , Oracle , Review / 5 December 2015

Creating a deck based on a system that is mostly unknown outside of Germany and Austria and add animation? You could view it as a tricky move, but if you’ve already almost sold out your first print run and publishers want to mass market it (2016), maybe not so much. It seems like Kipper, Fin de Siecle, is another one of Ciro Marchetti’s successes – with most likely many following in his footsteps. So, should you try to get one and/or wait impatiently for the mass….
