A memory technique called the “Method of Loci” or the “Memory Palace” is a mnemonic system known to the ancient Greeks and Romans, often used to quickly recall information. Sometimes this method is referred to as the “Journey Method” as one takes a mental stroll through imagined locations. This is similar to astral travel, and is reminiscent of the technique used to create the Tabula Mundi Tarot

Every deck that goes a little deeper than merely being a clone of TdM, Thoth or WCS deserves a decent companion. But unfortunately there aren’t many good ones out there. Book of Seshet is one of the exceptions. This guidebook, written for The Rosetta Tarot by MM Meleen, also happens to offer slightly more if you’re into Golden Dawn and Thoth.

SOON ON THE QUEENS SWORD: ARTIST’S ADVICE The Queen’s Sword has a new feature! And I am very happy to say MM Meleen is the one going to kick off this new column. In Artist’s Advice (If you have a much cooler name, I am aaaaalll for it :D) deck designers and tarot/divination authors share unique material: reading tips, tarot background material…you name it! I don’t believe it is a huge secret I am a fan of MM Meleen’s work. And even if you are not or don’t like Golden Dawn inspired decks, you most likely can agree with me she has an enormous amount of creativity and a vast knowledge of everything esoteric and tarot. So, when I heard there was going to be a new Rosetta Tarot edition I was very happy. Meleen is going to publish a new *full sized* version of the Rosetta Tarot. This is the first deck she ever made, before the Tabula Mundi sequence. But only the pocket version in a tin was still available (I have the 1st edition: great! Only the quality of the paper leaves something to be desired for) and readers had been asking for a reprint of the full size for years, including the OOP Book of Seshet.     Rosetta Tarot Papyrus edition So, hearing about a new release is a “yay!” to begin with, but this new Rosetta Tarot will really be new.
