Tarot Fundamentals | Review
Books , Review , Tarot / 5 January 2016

Precious few books were so eagerly anticipated as Tarot Fundamentals. Unless you count one of the installments of the Harry Potter series… But I am pretty sure that in the Tarot community Tarot Fundamentals gave J.K Rowling a (relative) run for her money.

Over a thousand eager readers backed the – for a publisher quite remarkable – Kickstarter campaign, so that Lo Scarabeo could print their ‘labor of love ten years in the making’. And then came the waiting. Most of the Kickstarter pledgers have gotten their copy now and the book is up for pre-order, ready to be released for retail somewhere in January or February

Gee you are you | Guru (Osho inspired)
Books , Mindfulness , Review / 18 December 2015

Calling your meditation workshop a Playshop probably already gives away what kind of writer you are. Indeed, the man’s ‘don’t take yourself so seriously’-attitude breathes from the pages. I am talking about Krishna Prem, born Michael Mogul, and his book Gee You Are You (G.U.R.U). Prem is one of Osho’s (Bhagwan) students and his book revolves around the theme: finding out who you really are.
Gee You are You starts with Krishna’s own journey of…

Tarot Dude | Daily Tarot Readings
Multimedia , Review , Tarot / 18 December 2015

I am not a fan of daily tarot readings for all; they’re too general. However, in the way Tarot Dude is handling them you can enjoy a multitude of decks and a very nice interpretation per card, combination and reading. Useful if you are a beginner, still learning the tarot cards, or if you’d like to add to your personal tarocabuly. I’d advise to browse way back (he has a temporary stop at the moment) and just enjoy his way of reading. The only thing that takes some getting used to is his nasal way of talking. Kipper: fin de siècle oracle | Deck Review
Decks , Oracle , Review / 5 December 2015

Creating a deck based on a system that is mostly unknown outside of Germany and Austria and add animation? You could view it as a tricky move, but if you’ve already almost sold out your first print run and publishers want to mass market it (2016), maybe not so much. It seems like Kipper, Fin de Siecle, is another one of Ciro Marchetti’s successes – with most likely many following in his footsteps. So, should you try to get one and/or wait impatiently for the mass….

Not Fortune’s Fool | Kipper tutorial
Multimedia , Oracle , Review / 24 November 2015

Interesting Kipper tutorial, especially when working with Ciro Marchetti’s new Kipper deck. Fortune Buchholtz worked on the LWB for the deck and in her YouTube channel she explains several ways of reading. In this example the line of 5. Easy-to-follow. Besides spreads she has several videos on history. Sometimes items can be a little long or she doesn’t get to the point immediately, but not too troublesome. Very useful video’s!
